Get Involved

Serving together, growing together.

Get Involved!

There are many ways to get involved at Wheatland Christian Church. Below are the different areas where you can serve. After reading through them, if you would like to get involved, please complete the volunteer form below and we will contact you with next steps.

  • Our Admin Team serves behind the scenes to help keep our church organized and running smoothly. This team supports ministry through tasks such as data entry, organizing records, preparing materials, and assisting with communication and scheduling. (Age: 18+)

  • The Fellowship Committee is made up of volunteers with a heart for hospitality who work together as a team to plan and prepare meals for the church family. Members share responsibilities for each event, helping with planning, preparation, and cleanup so that every gathering is welcoming and well organized.

  • Preparing a meal is one way we come alongside families during a difficult season. Our church provides funeral dinners for families who have lost a loved one, offering comfort, care, and support. Volunteers help by preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals that bless grieving families and remind them they are not alone.

  • Greeters serve as the first friendly face people see when they arrive at church. Their role is to warmly welcome guests and members, offer a smile and a kind word, help direct people to classrooms or the sanctuary, and assist with basic questions. This role is ideal for those who enjoy meeting new people and showing Christ’s love through hospitality.

  • Kids Check-In volunteers help provide a safe and welcoming start for children and families as they arrive. Their responsibilities include assisting parents with the check-in process, printing and distributing name tags and security tags, answering basic questions, and helping direct families to the correct classrooms. This role requires attention to detail, a warm attitude, and a commitment to safety. Kids Check-In volunteers help create a smooth, secure, and positive first impression for both children and parents.

  • Our Children’s Church team invests in the lives of children through worship, Bible-based teaching, engaging videos, small group time, and fun activities. We strive to create a safe and loving environment where kids can learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. (Ages: 18+, Background Check)

  • From time to time, opportunities arise to serve individuals and families in need. Our Service and Benevolence Ministry coordinates teams to meet practical needs through acts of service. Projects may include home repairs such as roofing or plumbing, as well as purchasing and delivering food to those who are struggling or experiencing homelessness. Service teams are made up of members of WCC and others in the community who have a heart for serving and a desire to help. This ministry is a great way to get involved for the first time and experience the joy of serving others in Christ’s name—it just might change your life.
